With Entourage 2004 you can thread your newsposts in almost any conceivable fashion. The most popular seems to be threading by subject, with the oldest post on top. You can create any type of view you like, with the oldest on top or the bottom. It's all up to your personal liking. This one here is just an example. To create this custom view click on View > Arrange By > Edit Custom Arrangements... This brings up the Custom Arrangements: Mail window.
Click on the New button and the Edit Custom Arrangements window opens. Give it a name you'll understand, and make it look like the window below.
Click on the OK button. Close out the Custom Arrangements: Mail window. The next time you are in a newsgroup, select View > Arrange By > Newsgroup view (or whatever it was that you named it.
Note: You will have to apply this view to each and every newsgroup that you are subscribed to.
