Ever hear a song on TV while watching your favorite show, and wondered just what that song was that you were listening to? Enter heard on tv. Simply go to your favorite show, and see a list of most of the music that was played, along with where to get it, including iTunes link. You may need to wait a day or so before the entire list and links are compiled.
For example, tonight I was catching up on Life, and heard a song that I wanted. I had no clue what it was. So I tried a couple shots at google, and that’s how I found heard on tv. Click on this link to see the list of songs contained within the episode I was watching. The song in question for me was The Big Sleep by Oliver Future (iTunes link). Anyone suggesting to use Shazam would like to know that it produced no results; that was my first attempt.
So go ahead, bookmark this link my music loving friends, I’m sure this will prove to be a very handy link for me.
Carol changed it. That is all.
Seriously, what happened was this, I changed the redirect of www.basilweb.net from my MobileMe website to my blog website. Now, when you type in or go to www.basilweb.net, you will be automatically redirected to www.basilweb.net/blog/.
I didn’t take into consideration that some people are using the MobileMe website as a bookmark to check their BasilWeb email. I apologize. In the future, I’ll be sure to send out a warning first to all BasilWeb email account holders.
I added a link to check email from the blog page. Look over in the right-hand column, and you see categories of links, such as Pages, Archives, Categories, El Paso H.O.G. Chapter, and Links. Directly under the Links heading, are a few links. One is called BasilWeb, that will take you to the MobileMe website, what you normally saw when going to www.basilweb.net. One is called “Check email.” This one will take you directly to the email login screen for SquirelMail.
Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. And I’ll make sure Carol doesn’t do that again. 😉

Smashing Pumpkins claims iTunes killed the album. Really? Or maybe people, when given a choice between buying the one or two songs that are good or an entire album of Suck, will opt for the former.
Back in the day, we didn’t have a choice except to buy an entire album of Suck because that was the only choice. You want Black and Blue by Van Halen? You’ve got to buy OU812. That’s not the case today my music loving friend.
Back then, the recording artists could come up with a few decent songs and include them with 7 other songs that I refer to as “filler songs.” Today, they can’t get away with that as much. At least with iTunes users. iTunes is holding their feet to the fire. Put out or get out. For that, I am truly grateful.

Time has their top whatever lists out. One particularly interesting (if your into the hottest selling gadget of the last two years) list is their top ten list of iPhone apps.
I’ve got two of them. #5 is Wikipanion, a very nice iPhone complimenting front end to Wikipedia, and #8, NetNewsWire, the best RSS newsreader for the iPhone that synchronizes with my desktop model via Newsgator’s servers. If you asked me (and you did ask me, right?) NetNewsWire ought to be #1.
